Mike Jackson, Winter Guard International (WGI) Hall of Fame member, has been arranging, teaching and designing shows for some of the nation’s most recognized marching percussion programs for nearly two decades. The list includes two-time WGI World Champion Mission Viejo High School, Riverside Community College and the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps. He sits on the Board of Directors for WGI and is also a co-founder and current board member for the Southern California Percussion Alliance (SCPA). “Over the years, I have played all of the Vic Firth marching sticks. A long reverse taper pushes more mass to the front of the stick, and the neck flourishes up to an oval tip. All this results in a stick that produces great sound, balance and durability.
