Having to retune your drums many times during a set is frustrating. This problem is caused by the drum's tension rods vibrating loose, and the result is a drum that sounded great when you started the song, and terrible by the time you start the next. GPI's Lockerz are a fast, easy way to keep your tension rods locked in place for good.
Other lug locking devices break easily and need to be removed if you want to change the tuning of your drums. When installed correctly, Lockerz™ will never break, and a drum key can be used with Lockerz in place if you feel like fine tuning your drums. They are also a great option on bottom heads because they will never fall off.
Some drummers use Lockerz throughout their entire kit, on every tension rod. Others prefer them on their snare drum only. Others use them primarily on the snare drum tension rod that lies directly beneath where they play rim shots, as this tends to be the most troublesome spot.
