The core of the mallet head is made of hardwood (beech or maple), wrapped in a thin (2mm) layer of rubber, and then covered with a single 1mm layer of high-density wool. The shaft is constructed from carefully selected hardwoods (maple or birch) and is covered with a silicone anti-vibration sleeve to increase control and enhance comfort.
