Since a launch of the Sontronics brand in 2005, many customers requested that they include a dynamic handheld mic in the range, so in 2008 Sontronics introduced the STC-80.

The STC-80 has been engineered to give great results on vocals and speech but is equally at home miking guitar cabs, snare drums and toms. With superb sound quality and low handling noise, the STC-80 boasts the same rugged construction and anti-slip body grooves as STC-6.
