YAMAHA MKA-05 marimba mallets

Designed in close collaboration with Keiko Abe, her Signature Series Mallets are designed to draw out the most from both the performer’s technique and tone from the instrument in compositions that require exceptional technique. Ideal for advanced players, these mallets are much heavier than regular mallets. Yamaha MKA 05 feature dual-core heads wrapped in a thin rubber tube to achieve warm sounds with lots of projection and full tone. MKA-05 are the medium hard mallets, capable of achieving warm tones in the middle and lower registers, while having enough bite to achieve great articulation in the upper registers. MKA-05 mallets are based on Yamaha’s Professional series with a rubber tube wrapped around its core.
